History

Our family - the Costello family - has been in the insurance business for more than 50 years. Our commitment to meeting the insurance and risk management needs of our neighbors now spans three generations. Robert W. Costello, Sr. founded the agency in Bradford, MA in 1954. Robert’s two sons, William J. Costello and Robert W. Costello, Jr., joined him in the late 1970s and together, continued to serve the Bradford area.

In 1983, we decided to expand our business. Along with our colleague James R. Hoyt, we founded the Hoyt-Costello Insurance Agency in Exeter, NH.

Benjamin W. Costello, the third generation of our family and son of William Costello, joined the business in 2001. Today, William and Benjamin continue our family legacy, running both the Costello and Hoyt-Costello Agencies.
